Define the product before designing the bag
Start with one intended retail product: material, granule format, fragrance, pack content and sales channel. For example, an importer could shortlist the published 10 L / 8 kg bentonite format, then ask about a rose fragrance and an Arabic or bilingual bag. This is a project example; availability and the final configuration must be confirmed in the quotation.
A tofu product needs its own specification and packaging decision. The listed standard pack is 8 L, while existing product photographs may show other sizes. Do not treat a photo as confirmation of the pack being ordered, or assume that a litre measure can be converted to kilograms in the same way for different materials. Write down the exact pack content and unit you want confirmed.
Separate OEM and ODM decisions
| Project decision | OEM starting point | ODM discussion |
|---|---|---|
| Product base | An established Love Sand configuration | A proposed product direction, subject to feasibility |
| Material and granules | Confirm the selected product specification | Discuss the intended material and granule format |
| Fragrance | Choose an available option for confirmation | Discuss the desired fragrance and sample evaluation |
| Brand and artwork | Apply your approved identity and packaging artwork | Develop presentation around the agreed product brief |
| Before production | Approve the sample, artwork and order details | Confirm feasibility, then approve the agreed sample and artwork |
OEM and ODM describe project paths, not a promise that every requested option is available. Minimum order, sampling, packaging feasibility, production schedule and commercial terms are confirmed for each quotation.

Approve a sample and a packaging reference
Ask for a sample identified by product, fragrance and granule configuration. Agree what the sample represents: the product itself, an existing retail bag, or a proposed packaging proof. A product sample does not automatically approve the final printed bag or transport carton.
- Record the approved sample reference and product specification so both teams are discussing the same version.
- Evaluate the product using a written routine. If you compare clumping, dust or fragrance, keep the method and handling conditions consistent.
- Confirm the intended bag format, closure, fill quantity and artwork version. Ask which physical or printed packaging proof can be supplied.
- Confirm units per outer pack, outer dimensions and the agreed packing basis before reviewing the loading plan and freight quotation.
If a product or packaging detail changes after approval, record the change and ask whether another sample or proof is needed. Keep the final approved versions together with the order confirmation rather than relying on a sequence of unlabelled images.
Review the Arabic artwork as a complete pack
Review the front, back and side panels together. Keep the Arabic product name, confirmed material, pack content and fragrance consistent with the approved specification. Arabic text reads from right to left, while email addresses, website addresses and some product codes need a clear left-to-right reading order. Review the print proof at its intended size.
Prepare usage, storage and disposal wording with your destination importer. Include the importer contact details and barcode information agreed for the project. These are practical review points, not a complete list of legal requirements: your local team should confirm the wording and destination requirements before print approval.
Only use product claims that can be supported for the agreed configuration. An existing pack photo does not establish a claim for a different private-label product. Avoid adding performance figures, certifications or disposal claims simply because they appear on a competitor’s bag. Check legibility, contrast and empty space around the barcode as part of the complete artwork review.

Send one coordinated project brief
Send the destination country and port or city, retail channel, selected material, fragrance, pack content, expected quantity and your OEM or ODM direction. Attach your approved logo and artwork brief, and list the product and packaging questions still open. Love Sand can then discuss the sample step, available options and quotation basis for that specific project.
